So it's apparently a new year.. With every new year, as expected about a thousand 'I WILL' promises are made which actually piss me the fuck off.
I'm really over hearing people say they'll gain or lose weight. They'll eat less fast food. They'll work out more. They'll save more this year. They'll spend more time outdoors or even indoors. They'll do something that isn't actually who they are.
I don't know about anyone else but.. I think this is fucking ridiculous, I mean.. You're the way you are no matter what, aren't you? Making some goal to change who you are just because the date is + 1 is stupid. Why don't people make resolution's for every month? Every week? Every day? While we are at it.. Every hour? It's stupid and so pointless.
I think if you REALLY insist on making some goal or "resolution", make it realistic. Make it something you WANT to do, not something you feel you HAVE to do in order to be a better you.
Irregardless of whether you lose all that weight you're lugging around.. Inside you're still that girl who loves food/that fat girl.
Irregardless of if you save up all your money/stop buying all that crap you usually do.. You're still a shopping addict/bad with money..
You're just recovering from all these addictions or the lifestyle you did/do live.
PICK. SOMETHING. REALISTIC. DO SOMETHING THAT YOU DO ANYWAY BUT JUST WANT TO PUT AN END DATE ON.
Like finishing a puzzle. Showering a little less than usual. Gay shit like that.
If you give yourself some unrealistic goal/something you may not be able to do.. Then chances are you'll either:
Fail.
[Want to] give up.
Become stressed.
Not even try to do it.
Or even just fuck it all up.
If you put an end date on things, it instantly gives you pressure, right? You suddenly HAVE to do that or you CAN'T do it, or even you have an ENTIRE year to do it.. So why rush?
These things happen every year and no one fucking learns. It shits me.
Anyway, that's my God damn rant.
On that note, Happy New Year everyone. I hope you drank as much as I did, had as much fun as I did and got to see as many genitals as I did.
